I'm posting this blog because we are going to be reading "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Mrs.Martin has assigned us to research information on the setting of the Victorian England time. In the Victorian England time, it was a rough time for people, mostly poor people. Rich people didnt have to do anything. People were seperated by their classes of poor, middle, and rich. We were given the prompt to write about, we have to compare and contrast the middle and poors lives in the Victorian Engand time and the United States today. In this next paragraph is where my response to the prompt is, here are my thoughts.
The lifestyle between the poor and middle classes in the United States today and Victorian England time are similar and alike in many ways. To begin with, they are and can be alike because population grew in both places, also, both places have had sewege problems and sanitary issues in some places. Then, there are many differences, for example, children had to work and help bring in money for their families in the Victorian England time. In the United States today, children dont have to work and dont have to bring in money for their families. Moving on, in the United States today, we dont have a king or queen to rule over us, we have government officials and presidents who have all power. In the Victorian England time, they had kings and queens that ruled over them. Finally, the United States today and the Victorian England time were mostly different than alike. Theese are my final thoughts on the compare and contrats of Victorian England time and United States today.
